No problems with that choice. Very underrated season and my second favourite.

Both episodes are amongst my favourites because the writing and directing combined with the cast's chemistry is probably at its peak this season.
So pleased to see AV Club review new Sam Phillips…only to see it be given a middling score.
I also loved the character continuity in that scene for Madeleine's slight ditzyness:
to your question mytly: I think it's shitty because basically the whole town is there (including Kirk, KIRK) for Sookie's wedding and it's just odd that the central townie dude who Sookie must see everyday and interacts with frequently isn't at her wedding. If it's being played like Luke deliberately didn't go due…
"Perfect" Rory had just kissed someone that wasn't her boyfriend, Christopher had just left Lorelai with everyone thinking otherwise, and Luke and her are still fighting.
That's how I usually think of it but I really don't like it. I mean, to avoid a friend's (they're at the very least closely acquainted) wedding over a dispute with another friend is such awful behavior and just…shitty.
As for the finale, now:
Yup, as does Alex Borstein.
it still stings, damnit!
Another thing I love about "Lorelai's graduation day" is the continued trend of ASP's knack for seeding future story through "background noise." Paris's rambling leads nicely into the finale's very important election stuff:
Since I'm sure the conversation will be mostly dedicated to "I Can't Get Started" (and bitching about Sims calling it flawed) let's just all give proper appreciation to the 20 seconds of Lorelai graduating.
I love it too. Showing Rory to be aware and frustrated of the way she's thought of as "the angel child" and how eventually, it's a reputation that is effectively annoying and unfair was another huge plus for the character back in the classic years and a strong trait in what I appreciated about the character.
Some of the funniest lines/delivery are amongst these two episodes:
While I would agree with that assessment, I think its strength comes from the somewhat flow-ey nature that makes up most of the season and the very strong indivdual character moments.
I was going to say, her very short screentime in it is absolutely golden and just seals its brilliance. Love her.
I really hope she carries Stacey Oristano with her going forward. That girl is crazy talented.
I adore the finale and consider it an incredible episode of TV, but I hate that the series has to end on that particular "Ginny upset over Frankie" note. 'Makin Whoopee' is an outstanding coda, but not really what I'd like the summation of the show to be.
To put it gently: Fuck you ABC Family.
It was obvious with her voice in the trailer but yay for official confirmation. Good or bad, this whole thing is going to be a spectacular experience.
