Said this a million times before, but if my 12-year-old self from the early 80s could see what's happening now with this golden age of comic book movies and TV shows, he'd flip the fuck out. It's like there was a great war to decide the fate of pop culture, and the geeks won.

Silver-age you mean, he isn't that old of a character. I would love to have a series featuring J'onn as a shape-shifting detective, but I kind of also want the Choco cookie addiction to be intact.

My kids keep asking me "When is Grodd going to be the main villain?", and I gotta say I'm just as anxious as they are. It's (hopefully) gonna be great!

But DC will just keep trying! Don't like the last few origin Hawkman stories? No worries, another one is on the way I'm sure.

They certainly had an intimacy for over a year that no other couple could match.

I assume you meant The Atom and not Ant-Man

Still a remote possibility that Wells is not the Reverse Flash that killed Barry's mom. The door is still open for Eddie (or a future descendant of his) to be in the yellow costume at some point.

I was really hoping Firestorm would get a proper costume by the end of the episode. That harness over a jacket look isn't cutting the mustard.

I know it's been reviewed on this site already, but I really enjoyed the preview of Star vs the Forces of Evil that aired after Gravity Falls this evening. I don't expect the same level of greatness from that show as I do GF, but it still was pretty fun.

I cant listen to that song without hearing Chief Wiggum's voice

But it's still popular with kids, and has been more or less consistently this entire time. Both of my boys went through their Pokemon stage a few years ago: bought the cards, played the video games, watched the cartoons.

I came here to make that exact comment. I love Beavis and Butthead, but come on, Batman was the greatest.

The silent slo-mo scene of Tina screaming at the hipster chick to scare and distract her made me laugh so damn hard.

It's an "A" episode all the way.

I liked it too. Not as good as First Class, but much better than Kick Ass.

I take it you haven't seen Transformers 4. Even Welliver's presence can't salvage that terrible movie.

I've always been in the "Wally is a better Flash than Barry" camp, but still I'm curious how they would have done the TV show with Wally instead. Wouldn't be doing fans any favors by just having him be the first and only Flash. The Superman cartoon where they ignored Hal Jordan and made Kyle the first Earth Green

I think that might be happening anyway. The next Batman animated dvd looks like it exists only to support a hideous new toy line, not a new52 tie-in like the others.

If this movie was about Firestorm hooking up with Roxy Richter, I may have been interested.

I think a lot of it comes down to when the person reading MAD first got into it. It represents a huge part of what I found to be funny growing up in the late 70s and early 80s, so anything in that era or a little earlier is my "golden age". But I have read a lot of the original issues, and they can be funny too, just
