Yeah, these AV Club reviews are mystifying. Kinda makes me almost angry how the reviewer so completely misses the mark about what the show is and who Chip is.

The original movie is a mainstream crowdpleaser, done in a Hollywood style, appreciable by all across the world. I really enjoyed the movie, it's fun and sentimental. It's not high art, far from it, but most movies aren't.
