Sorry to nitpick, but I've never heard the term "note-reading." I guess you could have said "notation reading" but the common term would be "music reading" or just "reading" and even that is still kind of clunky.

No clever quips needed. That was just bad.

Interesting how they shifted from Violent Femmes and 10000 Maniacs to Britney and Backstreet.

There was a radio ad not long ago that portrayed an old woman being preyed on by a scam artist "Mrs. Larson, we see there was some hail damage in your area recently. I have a crew working in E-deen-a this afternoon, I could send them over to give you an estimate."

Would Rand Paul quoting Rush lyrics be comparable?

A similar thing happened when I met a friend at a revival house theater showing Blazing Saddles last year. I was going to warn him ahead of time that the movie was made in the 70s and bore no resemblance to modern post-PC type of stuff, but he was late. Yep. It was often a message to his wife Kaz.

I have that record!

Get the fainting couch and some smelling salts!

I liked the first couple of seasons (I would have been 10 at the time) but I tried to watch some episodes about 15 years ago on Nick at Nite and was very confused. As stated above, some of those episodes had NO plot. The pacing was slow. The punchlines were often actors making funny faces and/or laughing. I remember

My 65 year old (white) grandfather loved Roc, because he could relate to the working class situations of the Dutton's character.

Just wanted to add that "Hey Jude" does not have a key change.

"they just started relying on pop session guys for their gigs." Umm, lets not get carried away here. Bill Bruford from King Crimson/Yes was the first non-Collins drummer and he was replaced by Chester Thompson who came over from Frank Zappa. Hackett's replacement was Daryl Stuermer who had played in Jean Luc Ponty's
