yeah I thought they were going to go with the obvious Dane Cook bashing route which, while always welcome, is getting a bit tired…but of course Steve is a fan of Dane Cook. It's pretty much in character.

This just cast Everybody Loves Raymond in a positive light.

This was a pretty good episode. Lori was in fine form though, I get the same levels of hate whenever I see that woman on screen as I do whenever I see Betty Draper on Mad Men. More annoying than her comic book counterpart.

"CORINTH IS FAMOUS FOR ITS LEATHER!"

I was laughing at plenty of jokes, including the Italian restaurant greeter. Rabin just sounds like a sourpants who hasn't had his juice.

Wilco and Arcade Fire? Some punk-ass intern is replacing the man's Al Green with this hipster shit.

if they made the movie with bad CGI bobbleheads of all the actors, I'd be sold

the only thing that can save Whitney from complete mediocrity is a 6 episode arc featuring Dawes. One of the Dawes is Whitney's baby daddy. In the B plot, Maulik Pancholy kills/fucks everyone.

unless the movie ends with them having sweaty no homo bro sex with wacky cartoon sound effects, not interested.

I bid you Dawesvidaniya

dammit I was going to make that joke. then Ctrl+F "Creek" broke my heart forever.

DAMMIT DAWES

brian may looks like bea arthur in that photo.

it's not a Lemon party without old Dick!

I don't usually watch this show, but this episode kind of won me over. It's funny and charming. It was actually kinda shocking to see the Office follow it, because that show is a ghastly, near-death visage of what it once was. I wouldn't try and follow the one-two punch that is 30 Rock and Parks and Rec if I were them.

yeah that occurred to me too. I was watching the first few episodes on Hulu, as put up on my TV, and I was wondering if Hulu was doing something weird with how it compressed the videos…but yeah, the look of the show is a bit more "cinematic lighting and film stock" than "TV lighting and film stock" if that makes any

this season has definitely been a lot stronger than the previous 2.

Lana Del Ray is what happens when hipsters think Florence and the Machine is too drive-time commute.

I seriously thought the Dawes promo video was a satire. It has every single cheesy twee rock band cliche - overly attractive musicians playing easy listening that's just far enough left of the center to be considered indie instead of basic country rock, the band traipsing through some desert, lighthearted backstage

Caddyshack was a running theme in both American Dad and Family Guy last night. FG ended on a Caddyshack reference and AD was pretty much an homage to the movie.
