I like Rogan despite his shortcomings (especially his readiness to buy into conspiracies), but Duncan Trussell on Pete Holmes' show bored me to tears. That guy is unbearable in every way.

Ever heard Tom Arnold tell the story about confronting a man who molested him as a child in the man's office building? (I know he told it on Adam Carolla, though he may have told it on another podcast, too) Crazy shit. Tom Arnold has lived a pretty insane life, which I guess should come as no surprise.

I just love when Harry suggests going to the little Italian place for a great veal parma and Don just flat out says "Nope." Just putting ole Harry back in his place. Nice try, though.

I thought you didn't listen. How'd you know about that??

"The more a comedian reads, the less successful they are"
Wha?

I'll take his spot! Ben Schwartz fans (those who like/can tolerate Carolla) should listen to his episode from yesterday. One of Schwartz's best podcast appearances ever.

No, just going on a tangent with regards to writers. His interviews have gotten a lot better in the past few years, although I never found him all that pompous, to be honest—at least not compared to what one might expect. I'd actually like to hear Maron ask him about some of the opinions he's registered on his Twitter

I remember for a while Maron was trying to get Bret Easton Ellis on the pod. He might still be trying. I wish that would happen even though I'm almost positive Maron's questions would disappoint by covering the same old topics as every other Ellis interview.

I think Burr has a good point. I've heard Chris Hardwick say things about how he'd like to only play for people he considers Nerdist fans because otherwise he has to dumb down the references. Not only is that kind of thinking condescending, but can you really call yourself a comic if you're only playing to people who

I don't think Maron has as much contempt for people who come up through acting, especially considering Cera was never trying to be a comedian, just happened to be a funny actor. I don't think he feels as much competition with actors.

His name is actually William though, Willem is just a nickname, so it's not all that egregious, I guess.

PETA threw flower on me for wearing a goon skin cap.

I kind of hate Madonna, but she does have an amazing rack in that flick.

He's the main villain! Did you forget Nicholson was in Batman, too? Sorry, that was mean of me. :(

Hey, get it right: David fucking Bowie not fucking David Bowie.

This is really sad but I can still remember one of the Preview Channel jingles: (set to 12 bar blues)

Thank god most people aren't 100% defined by their political affliation, eh?

I don't think they were just hired guns necessarily. They were collaborators for those albums, and now he has moved on to collaborate with others. Makes sense to me.

It's sad that The Hives don't even get mentioned in these conversations anymore.
