But the thing is, Carolla actually seems to like it when people challenge him—with the caveat that it usually has to be someone he respects (which isn't a great number of people, and definitely not Alison or Bald Bryan). Brooks challenges him several times in this interview and he backs off right away.

Yeah, I grew a little weary of Sanders' philosophical musings and him letting Marc know that he knows "Bob" and "Jack" personally. I love Shandling and I know he's big among us comedy geeks, and I know he was something of a star in the '80s…but the way he talks, you'd think he was Steve Martin.

Wanda's funny moments: Crank Yankers, Curb.

It's weird that Cooper is not only famous but despised by many. I still think of him as that guy from the Stella videos.

What ever happened to that Elizabeth Rohm? I was also a fan of her body of work (LOL!)

The bros and brahs quote Anchorman non-stop to this day, but the movie doesn't suck because of it and I still want a sequel. I'm not saying Hangover is anywhere near as good as Anchorman, but it definitely seems to have the same effect on the bro-crowd. It's annoying, but if you let it change your opinion on a movie,

Are people actually criticizing the movie or just the movie's fans? The movie was pretty good and funny the first time I saw it. Not so much the second time around.

I suspect he probably gets a lot out of his staff by being a good guy and making them want to please him. I'm sure he's demanding, but most good bosses are.

It's too bad Conan didn't get a little more of a jolt from the whole incident, cause he had the chance to do something interesting, and instead he went back to the same old, same old. I mean, most of the comedy bits are still good, but his interviews are still mostly terrible, unless it's a great guest. Ferguson is

Drew McWeeny said only a small handful of people actually booed.

Besides Steve Martin back in the day, I think Alec Baldwin is the only regular host who really seems to have the stuff to be a fantastic cast member.

It seemed like TNT showed ONLY Stephen King movies back in the day. Needful Things was on appx. every night of the week for 4 years.

Funny that King pulled rage from print, yet I'm not sure I've been to a used bookstore yet that didn't have half a dozen copies of the Bachman Books in stock.

I don't think anyone was offended. Just think it's a lazy trope to fallback on.

Guarantee you they're still bestsellers.

Me too. I know there was discussion of making it into a TNT miniseries, but it never came to fruition due to budget concerns. Then Steven Spielberg was supposed to be adapting it to direct at one point and later just to produce. Not sure what the status is now. I agree it seems like it'd make for a perfect miniseries

Anyone said The Jaunt yet? That is the absolute most-ready-for-adaptation King story out there. As far as books go, The Talisman all the way baby. Make it a trilogy or something. I don't care. Just leave Black House out of it.

And to be fair, this was King's first published novel, so he had not yet worn out his welcome with the religious nuts. (The Mist did that)

(For the record, I was not mocking Test Tube Monkey. Well, I was mocking the inevitable iPhone joke, but didn't know anyone had actually made it already)

Is he the one who works at the Mac store and likes Dave Matthews? Why is this guy on the podcast again?
