How did Cora get out of Wonderland? Because she's definitely the Queen of Hearts: pushed through a looking glass, her magic spell book has a heart on it, Cora means heart, etc.

Great review! I've been trying to explain to my friend who doesn't watch this show exactly what is wrong with it, but all attempts end up in a messy "and another thing!" rant.  This is far more elegant than me going, "it's the Sorkinest Sorkin to ever be Sorkined but in a bad way."

Best moment in the episode, Pam and Sam meeting up, "What are you doing here?"
I'm actually excited to see this all explode, which I haven't been since season 2.

I find this show's struggle fascinating to watch, but all of my opinions about this episode are eclipsed by how much I've come to hate the Maggie character.  The amount of misery she inflicts on the people she calls her friends is astounding.  Why do you like this woman, Jim, when she seems to be actively trying to

I loved Maggie Lizer, I always wanted her to make a return appearance, especially after the teaser in Hand to God.   I really want an Annyong-esq return in the mini-series/movie.

Although it was a long time coming, I remember the exact episode I rage-quit House.
(Spoilers for House, I guess)

I've been waiting for this show to have a suicide for five seasons.  Each season has been filled with the "are they going to kill themselves tension" because I refused to believe that a shows that has "emptiness" as one of their main themes wouldn't kill a character off with suicide.  Now that it's happened, I feel

I agree.  The sepia toned backgrounds were so atmospheric.  It's really giving the show a look and feel.  Plus!  Rascally street urchins!

My excitement levels are critical.  These two episodes are just such great set up.  Besides all the other things it was great at, A:tLA was great at establishing characters and a world with amazing ease.  These episodes introduce so many great new ideas and characters that feel rich and well developed.  I just can't

Avatar State, Yip Yip!

I've been trying to convince everyone that August is Pinocchio.
My reasoning?  He tries to act so cool with his leather jacket and motorcycle that he has to be the least cool character.  Hence: Pinocchio.  (Also he keeps stressing that he can't lie, and we've spent so much time with Jimminy and Geppetto that it's

I really loved this episode, and put it up there as one of the best of the season so far.  It balanced wackiness and genuine emotion really well.  I can see how the Jeff plot didn't work for some people, but Britta and Jeff's friendship is one of the best relationships of the show.  The scene in the car tied together

Uh, this is the one to get an A-?
It was definably the best looking episode, but the James/MM stuff is so boring.  They're in a classic television D.D.R. (Drama Dependent Relationship), where the couple itself perpetuates obstacles to their relationship because the writers can't have them happy yet.
