I would think that the speech about us never being rock stars would hold up well, particularly to an audience who was told all their lives if they go to college they'll do fine, only to discover the real world upon graduation.

I have a short top hat at home called The Dead Man.  The Haberdasher from whom I purchased it said they used to call it the John Bull, but after the popularity of a certain Johnny Depp movie among cos-playing crowds, it has been renamed.

I took up whiskey drinking in June.  Now I'm part of three whiskey-appreciation clubs, have 4 bottles of different American whiskeys at home, and am getting ready to order a few small barrels to age my own spirits at home.  Still searching for the perfect bottle of scotch to invest in.

I also watched a few DS9 episodes.  Thankful I have a job but yes, my responsibilities kept getting bigger, but the pay didn't match.  Now they've hired two additional people in the office and stuck me in a corner to do the most asinine typing job ever.  I'm holding out hope that one of the dozens of employment

That being said, I think some good ideas for possible series returns are:
-Corps of Engineers (based on the books which are rather entertaining)
-Starfleet: Year One (Oh wait, is this what Enterprise was?  I never watched enough to get into it, but anything dealing with The Romulan Wars could be good)
-The UFP Diplomatic

I think as a shadowy organization they seem much more interesting.  If they put too much of a face on it, it'd probably get boring.  Unless it was like a 24th Century X-Files….

@ Khanthrok, Yes but you would need to bring in a director with a tendency for twist endings to pull that off.  Then again, maybe that would have made the episode better.

Wait a second, you assumed that BSG took place in the future?  I was convinced that this was the distant past the moment a guy named Adama started spouting about finding Earth.
And I was all for it….but the moment Tigh started spouting Bob Dylan, I began to worry that the show would not end as strongly as it had

Anybody else here think Monty Python skits are much funnier to listen to than to watch?  Final Rip Off, anyone?
