I really enjoy that they keep mentioning the Dominion but letting the rumors fly without giving away too much.  In terms of long term arcs, it may be one of the best in Trek history.

Somehow I never noticed that.  Now if Levar Burton had come out of the woods being chased by a whip-wielding honky, I may have made that connection.

I was thinking the same thing.  Nice of the writers to incorporate that little throw away into an actual story about O'Brien's past.

Wasn't there and episode where Torres actually goes to hell?  Klingon Hell.

Necessary Evil is in my estimation one of the best episodes thus far.  Very impressed with the uncertain downer ending, and the idea of Odo taking on a Noir-ish Detective character.  He plays the part well.
