Couldn't disagree more. Loved It, but found the Bevy/Richie scene in 12/22/63 felt shoe-horned into the narrative. Took me out of the story.

Anyone else think that the sound effects far out-shined the design of that phaser locker? It looked like one of those cheap plastic tool kits.

I'm sure there were at least a few…..drat!

C'mon, Opaka!  We're going to be taking him out in a stasis bag.  Yah!

This would have been a really interesting conversation to listen to….but the co-host's apparent inability to control the volume of his voice literally had me tearing my earphones off in pain.

Thanks for the response, guys.

Interesting, I hadn't considered that.  I thought it was more highlighting Quark's problems and Sisko's incredible deftness when playing hardball.  And somehow, they kept it funny while playing it straight.

It did in Band of Brothers…

The dreaded hopscotch shall not stand!

Picket Fences was a David Kelly series from the early 90's in which each episode tackled a major "hot-button" issue against the backdrop of a small Wisconsin town.  It was intriguing stuff when I was an adolescent, but having gone back and watched Season 1, it does not hold up well over time.  Handlen would have a

Walston was the best part of Picket Fences, to be fair.  The interplay between him and Fyvush Finkel was terrific.

I remember thinking the scene between Quark and Sisko in his office was brilliant.  Great writing and great execution.  While Quark's inhuman dickishness seemed ramped up to colossal heights in this episode, I really found myself appreciating the subtly in that scene.

"How to Cook For (dust-dust) Humans"

I kind of feel that way about Babylon 5 too.  But these two episodes of DS9 much more so.

Arex, In the new film they refer to Kirk as the only genius level repeat offender in the Midwest.  Did you think we needed more reminders/examples of that smarts?  Aside from him being made Captain before he even graduates.

There was a short story in a Strange New Worlds collection (I think Volume 2) which is Data in the very distant future, and he speaks about how even after his emotion chip was destroyed, the emotions came eventually.  Very cool story as I recall….or at least as my 15 year old self recalls.

I still see those jokers at the Hollywood Post Office from time to time.

Fascinating insight into the crafting of the script, though.  Thanks for sharing.

I remember being surprised that plastic surgery was mentioned in LA Confidential.  I literally had a moment of "They had that back then!?"
