I'm in Season 4 of DS9 but the going is very slow.  It'll be nice to recap with you guys, I only hope I can find enough time to continue watching it before the reviews pass me by!

My brother spent months trying to get me to check out AV Club reviews, but being a die-hard procrastinator I rarely did.  During a stint of weekly ST:TNG watching he sent me a link to your recently started reviews of Season 1 (back when you were doing 3 a week, remember those days?)  It took very little time for me to

Is anyone else worried that the comments boards for DS9 are going to be outrageously huge and impossible to keep up with?

@ The Archmage of the Aether: "…compensates for the director's insecurity with an overbearing music score."
You've just perfectly described what it is I hate about Zack Snyder films.

The poop talk and use of the word "athori-tah" reminded me of a recent South Park episode, and got me thinking….What order would the TNG cast be placed if they were forced into a human centipede?

I think he'd shave a 'W' to make sure Tom Riker doesn't try claim dibs.

"I have to go home now."

Wasn't there a line in Descent Part 2 when Data says he wasn't buoyant enough to swim?  Damn these researchers and their continuity errors!

@avclub-e35d204394187fa34e582eb1e04b494f:disqus , Too true!  So often it was "outra vez com isto!"  I was always tempted to repeat those words in a smart-allecky tone back to him, but usually that would end badly for me.
@RJ, I didn't realize that about the French as well.  Love the little idiosyncrasies the Romance

It makes you wonder if Wesley wasn't just playing 24th century Minesweeper most of the time while sitting at the Conn.

If it were my dad, it would be in broken English, and he'd be complaining that we watch too much porcaria (Portuguese for useless trash) the moment anyone with alien makeup shows up.

Are you kidding?  The comments thread for Insurrection is going to be one of the highlights of my holiday season!

He'll die!

That look on Picards face gave me shivers when re-watching last year.  The man is legend.  Love how it went to a surprisingly dark place for the 2nd to last episode.

I was Roshenko'd at the time.  Some big zoo cage had me pinned down.

I vaguely remember hearing that.  I haven't gotten this far in DS9 yet, but was there some grand pardon of all the Maquis after the Dominion came or something?

I heard she backed out to focus on her movie career.  And if you saw Escape from L.A. you can see how well that worked out for her.

That scene (and that line in particular) got some hardy laughs when first watching it in the theater.

2 words: Joy. Stick.  I actually caught that scene on re-run a few weeks back, and I'd forgotten Riker was actually at the Helm before he walked back to the "1 Joystick to Rule Them All" area.  That was just a useless and redundant move!  Who directed this film anyways?

You know what they call a leader with no followers?  Just a guy taking a walk.
