I wanted to play a drinking game where I took a shot every time someone said "the last seven months," but I blacked out halfway through.

I think Brenda forgot about the fact that this show is broadcast to millions of people.  Had it just been the players watching, she may have had a point about what she did for Dawn.  However, it wasn't just the players:  there was an entire TV audience, and Brenda shouldn't have humiliated Dawn in front of them like

Was Seth Meyers sick this week?  He didn't sound good this week (obligatory commentariat response about him never sounding good).

It would have made a better moment.

That might have been my favorite correction, and it seemed to me (and maybe only me) that SNL was really on with its racist humor last night.  Between that and "with no reservations (sorry)," I actually found it really funny and creative.

I was sure in that sketch that Jennifer Aniston would be cameoing as the winner of the pageant, and that the whole sketch was just an excuse to work her into the show.  I thought there would be all kinds of hackneyed "wow, she looks nothing like Jennifer Aniston!" jokes, so I was dreading it.
Imagine my surprise, then.

I did like some of the lines, though: "We're all each other's Uncle Ben's murder!"

Agreed.  Sometimes the frame story is a little awkward, but I really enjoyed the book, and it gives much better reasoning behind the main character's reaction to 9/11 than the movie seems to (based on this review).

I totally agree, she looked sort of off tonight, like a bad spray tan and some weird eye shadow.

Goodbye and good riddance, Padma!

Cochrane's "vanilla" monologue—as mentioned by Carrie—had me laughing really hard.  His self-awareness about being basically an AV Club commenter is endearing and utterly hilarious at times.
Also, his winking looks at the camera get me every time.

I think it's the way it's written.  My biggest problem is that when Jimmy acts like a complete asshole about his show to Derek, who is honestly trying to put people in the seats, the show wants us to believe both people are equally at fault, and that they need to grow together or something.  They're not! Jimmy has no

Haha, I thought the appropriate Game of Thrones abbreviation was GoT?

Yeah, but she had less to say this time, thankfully.  I honestly don't think Spiridakos is a terrible, beyond-hope actress, but someone has GOT to tell her that raising one's eyebrow is not the same as conveying emotion.

I know, I was freaking out.  Good riddance, Danny!

As much (deserved) crap as this show gets for its VFX, I actually thought the Hong Kong sets looked really cool.  Of course I've never been there, but I thought they at least kept up with the much higher-budgeted movies I've seen that were set there.

When they showed Padma being thrown in front of a camera, I thought they would film some kind of ransom message then have that playing when Nolan walked in.  Then my hopes went up when Trask wrote that head-themed text. Imagine my disappointment when it was the damn turtle's head.  Screw you, Initiative!
Also, I feel

I thought this was a good episode overall, but damn, I just can't give a shit about Padma. Like Carrie, I actually did want that box to have her head in it. Though Nolan vs. Falcon, I can get behind.

Apparently not, since they didn't vote her out.

Really?  I wasn't surprised at all.  The editors tipped their hand the way they often do: having one person gush too much about the person they're about to vote out, right as they're leaving, to try to mislead the viewer.  When Corinne was all, "I really, really love Matt and think he's just the sweetest, nicest, most
