Saw The Birds in a cinema class in college. Took a few days to be desensitized to seeing actual birds flying around within view.

I had to convince myself to watch that DVD feature that shows the tape. I NEED to watch all of the special features on my DVDs, but I don't need to die.

Glad to see that Mulholland Dr. and The Orphanage made the
list (and that Poltergeist made the comments). While not a movie, I
was very young when the Thriller video was first released. MTV thought
it was too scary to show during the day, so they would show it late at
night at the top of the hour. Scared the crap

Watched The Ring on DVD, and I remember staring at my cell phone on the other side of the living room. If it rang, I would have died. But I was also afraid to cross the room to turn it off.

This is only missing a "bro" somewhere to have perfect commenter name synergy.

Man, I haven't been to A's Barber Shop in…a long time.

Now I wish that I knew how to make apps of my own. I could make one that tells people how long they would take, with their daily weight gain, to blot out the sun.

Rainforest Crunch, combined with generalized college poverty. Topped with the anticipation that in order to treat yourself, you had to cut back on other expenses for three days.

I had a similar experience. Cut back on alcohol…small weight loss.

Sorry if this isn't fashion-y enough, but it works better here than in the beer or food thread.

Well, nobody's perfect.

My high school (and middle school…same school) had communal showers, as well as most students showering every day after PE. We even had a slightly Porky's-esque way to see into the girls' locker rooms (sorry, SatSky).

You just want to be loved. Is that so wrong?

I hesitated before downvoting, because it seems wrong to distract you mid-masturbation.

You heard what she said?  "Better ourselves"?  Missy, when you're from the AVClub, ain't no such thing.

The bad news is that our coach doesn't seem to be working out, and we need to take the program in a new direction.  The good news is that Lane Kiffin is available.

I don't think it's terrible to like Gladwell.  He's clearly a better writer than most in this field.

I swam competitively for the first part of my life, so I'm sort of used to the way briefs look.  Although, briefs seem a little…briefer(?) these days.

Will do.  Then next week, the first thing anyone will read will be updates about my move from boxers to briefs.
