I don't have quite that many discs, but I know what you mean… DVDs are so cheap these days (especially second hand or "ex-rental") that it seems crazy not to buy them when you see them. Ah well, at least they're smaller and lighter than VHS tapes used to be! I look forward to the day when absolutely everything is

Would anyone be interested in watching a show where I drive across America picking up tough-looking tattooed gals? Because I would be very interested in making such a show.

Elvis Costello Controversy…
I remember reading an article about the Ray Charles thing, and I feel the need to clarify that he didn't call Charles that to his face, he said it to some random people in a bar whilst drunk and acting like an asshole (he was trolling, but made the mistake of not waiting until the internet

I just wet my pants. HAPPY NOW, MR WRIGHT!!?

I'm pretty sure he served a couple of months for killing and eating Emilio Estevez, and then having sex with the bones. That was him, right?

I'll most likely buy the album, whatever crazy stuff she says between now and its release… it's all about the music, man. Also, she's kinda pretty.

VELVETEEN RABBIT!

Is it as overused as references to "Hot Topic" as a slam on Tim Burton fans? Because that's overused as fuck.

Never!

And worser.

Tony Danza?

But how does this effect the people who rent out pink limos? Will they be forced to respray them black again? We demand answers! And cookies!

Yep, this article sums up pretty much how I felt about "Napoleon Dynamite" too… just that sense that the people making it despised their own characters. I felt insulted, on some level. So if this one is is even worse than "NP", I'm going to avoid it like a toxic dump.

I'm glad that sort of repetition annoys other people, because I thought I was just being hopelessly anal.

Cheer!
I'm a selfish Del Toro fan, with no love for LoTR, so I'm glad he's free from them now, and can get back to making his own films. Six years is far too long to wait for new, original work from him, dammit.

Aw…
I kinda liked it. Not that I'd know a Romanian wood from an American one, anyway. And you have to feel bad for Rachel Hurd-Wood going through all that torment, only to wind up in such a widely panned flop. Poor girl.

No, you should just hug him. Let's all share the love.

Playing "Judge Judy"…
Put your listening ears on! Do I look like I need help? Byrd knows what I'm talking about.

I'd only watch a series about her playing a super-secret spy if it was a spin-off for Karen Sympathy, her character in the "Rocky & Bullwinkle" movie. Cutest FBI agent ever!!!

I third that emotion! I doubt anything will ever top "Amelie", but it's good to see this getting positive, encouraging reviews. Will definitely be seeing this at some point.
