Sounds like a book I might get around to some day…
But for now I'm just enjoying the cover. That's a damn fine piece of work.
If you set up an anecdote with references to condoms, sexual tension and "ironic" talks on ethics, I think you need a better pay-off than "I got a picture with him".
Catchphrase!
ROAD BLOCK! Ambush the tour bus, and make him dance for his freedom.
Unbelievable sights
Indescribable feeling
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
Through an endless diamond sky
How's the nose on the Joan doll? I love the fact that Christina Hendricks has a slightly wonky nose… it's a good way of checking whether someone's actually noticed her face, or just her boobs!
Not really a spirited defence of Rumer but…
I thought she was okay in "House Bunny". I wanted to hate her performance because of the nepotism thing, but she seemed pretty capable, considering the material. Also, the harsh comments about her looks have started to make me warm to her…
Look Who's Stripping Now!
Heck, I'll back you up, miles. There are a number of ideas and jokes in that movie that really worked for me… the teddy bear scene included… but having rewatched it again recently, I find it's more fun to remember them, than to actually have to sit through the rest of the movie to see them.
I've never been a big Kiss fan, but I still think it's quite an enjoyable comedy. Not a *great* film, but funny enough.
There was a mildy amusing incident involving Slash being interviewed live on a Saturday morning kids show over here (called "CD:UK"), to quote Wikipedia:

If the fourth dimension is Time…
Then maybe GaGa's found a way to cheat it, and condense her entire concert into a live-action blip-vert?
Great stuff
Just watched this without knowing what to expect (it came as part of a boxset with del Toro's other "horrors"), and was pleasantly surprised that there was so much more to it than the simple "haunted school" story that the opening suggests. Very clever film, but also very touching.
And the surprising answer is…
Teens want to tuck in their damn shirts, pull up their damn pants, get their hands out of their damn pockets and stop mumbling for Christ's sake.
Having seen the stage version of "Sweeney Todd" on DVD shortly after Burton's version, I realised that most of the stuff I disliked about his film were actually inherent to the script… all that blah romance with the bland, blonde people and the twist ending. I love what Burton brought to it visually, and what Depp and…
I still consider myself a Burton fan, but it's been a looong time since he made a film I actually loved. About a decade in fact. Shit, I feel old.
I vote for Jefferson Airplane's adaptation. Now throw the tape player in my bathwater, and let's get this over with.
