Damnation Alley is one of Zelazny's least interesting books. Lord of Light is one of the greatest science fiction novels ever written. Be warned however that the structure is complex and nonlinear. Also the main character changes names and bodies with every section.

The review uses the word "belie" incorrectly. Pulling the heads off of dolls would *confirm* the baby's EVIL NATURE, not belie it. I can't believe teh internets haven't already caught this.
