Well when compared to folks in his genre it's true. The only songwriter I think that is comparable is Jesse Lacey of Brand New. But compared to Connor Oberst, Finn from Hold Steady, or pretty much any modern folk/alt country songwriter I would disagree with that statement.

probably one of the best comedy albums I've ever heard, and I'm like an alcoholic for that stuff. Certainly my favorite Patton album, although you really only want to listen to it one time.
