That's probably because the writers and editors have admitted that the deleted scenes should be a part of the canon of the show, which is why on most of the season dvds every episode has a link to the deleted scenes.

It's definitely been two years since Karen and Jim last met on screen in a romantic way (the last episode of season 3 to be precise) so I think the line was just a throwaway line, like how the ads for this episode made it seem like an actual fire.

PSYCH recently has been really dark. The one a couple weeks ago where Lassiter was framed for murder was really depressing, especially when you realized how far this guy was going to go to get away with murder AND keep his job.

I definitely wasn't saying that NO ONE should hate LOST. I can understand a lot of people won't get it, but there is a difference between saying "I don't like it because I don't get it" and "No one should like it because I don't get it, and anyone who likes it is stupid.", which is what I was referring to.
