I'm just saying, if it walks like a run-of-the-mill male creep and quacks like a run-of-the-mill male creep…

I mean this is a person who self-identifies as queer and prefers "they" pronouns but still a biological male who has allegedly (but apparently credibly) assaulted multiple biological females, so….

Wrong about Cohen or Animal Collective? It doesn't matter, I'm clearly wrong about neither and will not feel bad about it. Good day, sir!

Interesting how Rabin goes on for a bit at the beginning about Cohen being a comic genius before demonstrating at length how he includes jokes in this movie that are tired and boring if not offensively tired and boring, and based on offensive tropes.

They signed to Polyvinyl eventually! I think where I saw them was probably the furthest they had ever been from home at the time, but they did a good job.

Whoa I remember Heads Will Roll! They were great! We went to see another band in Grand Rapids and they brought the house down and overshadowed the headliner! Then we went to see them in Detroit and a band called 31 Knots from Portland or something kinda blew them away. What a time.

Life hack: give your DCEU critiques a gloss of Marxism / globalism, get paid by Disney and Soros simultaneously.

Not too many free-thinking iconoclasts in police academies.

Hope I die before I get old.

I'm still hoping for hand-to-hand combat with Xenu. It's what he's actually been training for all along.

The last two Mission Impossible movies have been great. 3 was pretty good, but 4 and 5 were wonderful. Also walking out of 5 I said he was going to die filming a stunt for a movie. Hopefully it's not this one.

Oh yeah. Tricky for me as well. And Siamese Dream, for some reason (it works, start with Bodies).

I always joke that I hate these guys and I'm rooting for them to fail but between his cancer and this terrible divorce I'm starting to feel kind of bad about it. Then again I've been rooting against the GD Pats for years so I'm under no illusion I can affect this stuff.

It's funny reading this review I was just thinking PUP should record an album with Albini.

We just gotta differentiate between second and third wave emo. Who else besides Sunny Day Real Estate is second wave? Is Mineral the start of the third wave or the end of the second? The nation craves answers!

I was into my 20s when MCR came out and I'll absolutely defend them as better than Good Charlotte. And JEW was 100% part of the emo scene, I have one of their early songs on a Deep Elm sampler and they played with a ton of emo bands!

No, they've always been terrible. And just ridiculously predictable in their over-correction. One of my first Grammy memories was them giving all the awards to Alanis Morrissette to try to prove they were "with it." But it's a pop culture web site and the Grammys are pop culture and you gotta write something!

I don't think they mean pick the awards based on what is objectively better (as that's not an actual thing you can reference), but what is actually important to the people whose opinions the award is supposed to reflect. Take Jethro Tull winning the first Hard Rock Grammy. Who knows if that was a better album than
