Feel like it would be INCREDIBLY EASY to edit scenes from All the Real Girls into something terrifying.

FACT CHECK: that tweet was sent from an iPhone, so it was probably composed by a staffer. So he directed that tweet be written either before the meeting or during. But it is at least possible he was able to focus on the boring briefing for over 20 minutes straight, which I think would be really impressive of him!

He's a dipshit AND Reflektor is a 5. Thesis, antithesis, synthesis.

I think "running out of reasons for not falling in with the foreign legion" from No Known Drink or Drug is a pretty funny line. I really need that song to be significantly longer.

Those are my favorite two on the album too!

I more or less agree with Pitchfork here too. Been listening to it since I got the download link Tuesday and it is not quite as good. I will say that both reviews seem to complain about the third song (True Love…) and that's my favorite song on the album. And I'm surprised how much the songs live or die based on the

The band's name is Japandroids. This isn't academic. Dudes are sincere about LIVIN' LIFE, MAN. Break out some Jack Daniels, share it with a friend, turn it up. You shouldn't be thinking about the lyrics while you're listening to it, you should be rocking out. And you shouldn't be thinking about the lyrics afterward,

Wait, why? "I used to be good but now I'm bad" is a little clunky but it's still a Japandroids song, the first new one in like 5 years. Do you just not like Japandroids?

I'm fine with an 8-song 30 or so minute album (Japandroids points out several classic rock records are 8 songs), but they had previously released Younger Us as a single and I listened to The House That Heaven Built 100 times before the album came out so the actual album was like getting 5 new songs for me. Good thing

I would very much like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Japandroids only release 8-song albums because they truly believe 8 songs is the perfect length for a rock record.

The Government Commissions (the BBC) album is fantastic, with probably my favorite versions of Helicon 2 and Cody. And its version of Like Herod is an experience, albeit one I wouldn't want to repeat too many times. YMMV. If you can track down Special Moves, recorded in Brooklyn, it has another good version of Cody

Comment section was garbage tho.

There was maybe a lot of meanness but the community as a whole was pretty smart and troll-feeding was pretty minimal. The AV Club has had one of the best comments sections on the internet for a decade as far as I'm concerned. You idiots have cracked me up when I was supposed to be acting productive more times than I

Self-loathing's a helluva drug.

Based on this comment I don't like you and you should stop watching the show immediately because I don't want you to derive any joy from it.

I have family in Flint and visit frequently. Parts of the city are every bit as bad as presented in Roger & Me. Entire blocks boarded up, burnt out abandoned buildings etc. The entire city is not devastated but good portions of it are. If you went up 75 from the airport you didn't see much of the city.

"Imagine" is a terrible song in general (sure Mr. Millionaire, no possessions, cool) and also bad for people mourning. "No hell below us, above us only sky." Those terrorists will receive no punishment in hell and you'll never see your loved ones again! Hooray!

I think you're joking, but he is married to one of those two!

Jesus walks, Yeezus runs! For president! West 2020!
