The term "probable cause" can be used if you walk down the street, point at someone random and say "that person committed a crime." That is literally all that is needed for a prosecutor to claim probable cause.

Well you're certainly a person whose point of view on this story is worth paying attention to!

"Oh yeah, and he banged his girlfriend's other daughter when she was a teenager."

I really liked the Meow Meow Beenz and Ass Crack Bandit episodes.

Passive aggressive much?

Ebert said this was one of the 10 best films of the 90's. It's the best von Trier I've seen.

Could also argue The Dane in Miller's Crossing.

That's kinda the point. Chigurh THINKS he's the manifestation of fate (or something), and then that car wreck disabuses him (and us) of that notion in an incredibly brutal way. Chigurh is clearly shaken and scared when he pays the boys for a sling - he's not just screwed from a practical, no-way-out standpoint, his

He's already cast in the alternate dimension where that is a thing. Also the same dimension where he's wrapping his role in the sequel to Girl 6. It's called Girl 12.

I also wouldn't say "shitty," but it's definitely pretty far down in Scorsese's B tier. That being said, it's a very convoluted and silly plot line/twist, and that movie was probably the best possible depiction we could get. The atmosphere Marty creates, for one, does so much heavy lifting.

I don't think it was necessarily supposed to be a "hideous disfigurement." Just a painful mark of shame delivered in a publicly humiliating manner.

"It's like I woke up one morning and all the bears were mauling people. They're mauled from the eyebrows down."

I trust the Coens to be able to pick a less obvious story. Also, because "A Good Man Is Hard To Find" is not really the finest piece of writing. I think "Everything That Rises Must Converge" would work much better.

Again, the situation there was so awful and sick that any morbid humor that could've been mined wasn't there for me. That's much more on the "heartbreaking" scale.

QT gets as many roles in QT-created material as he ever did.

I guess that is mordantly funny, but the surrounding situation and Brundle's rapid descent into madness and inhumanity kinda just made everything horrifying.

Naked Lunch has a larger dose, though. Both The Fly and Dead Ringers get pretty grim by their third act.

I kinda think it is his best movie.

Richard Jenkins is a better get than Andy Dick.

Sounds like Kubrick.
