He's terrible in the movie. Awful, one-note performance. I blame the director.

148 minutes?!
The main criticism I've heard is that "everyone talks the same," probably meaning that hipster-talk you mentioned. This is a ridiculous criticism because the only characters who talk like that are Juno, her friend (which makes sense) and the Rainn Wilson convenience store person. None of the other characters speak…
Don't really agree that Juno was terrible. Young Adult was quite good, though.
In the words of Cam Tucker, you could get Meryl Streep to play Batman and it would be the correct choice. She'll crush this role.
It's a great movie.
What an eloquent and well-reasoned piece of criticism.
It's not my favorite episode but I think it's a pretty unique achievement.
I liked the one where they tried to "land the whale" and Introduction to Felt Surrogacy a lot.
I thought that episode was a masterpiece.
Coined and minted! Been there, coined that!
You've got too much time on your hands!
It's easy to see where something as complex and layered as "Virtual Systems Analysis" would lose people.
I haven't even seen the new Spider-Man film. I wasn't offended, either, just being a snarky shit.
Yes…
I like the people assuming they know what's going on in strangers' relationships. You're really emotionally healthy.
Malcolm X is also one of the best movies ever made.
His commentary for Citizen Kane might be the best ever recorded.
I don't think Fast Times has aged that well. Jennifer Jason Leigh's story is simple-minded and offensive, but it's also dramatically inert. The Sean Penn stuff holds up best. For 80's sex comedies, Risky Business is the far superior film.
It seems to be a well-written and reasoned review that disagrees with your POV. Your argument is null.
