Fun fact for the Americans: as well as being possibly the worst person in Britain, Hopkins first rose to fame as a contestant on our version of The Apprentice.

I'd say the pointless Weapon X scenes or the pointless Magneto family scenes were the biggest flaws. Movie could have used that 20-30 minutes to develop the teen heroes, or done literally anything else, and it would have been an improvement.

Only question is, will Magneto be a villain again at the start of the next movie, before teaming up with Xavier to reaffirm their friendship? Or will they start out working together as friends before he turns into a villain in the third act? I'm quivering with excitement over the endless possibilities!
