To me, this is a textbook example of a table-setting episode.

It's not surprising that Tina sympathized with Topsy. It reminded me of how she was with that robot shark from earlier in the season. I'm beginning to think she may be a young aspiring actress.
I'm pretty sure I'd watch at least an entire season of "Peter And The Sidecar Falcon."
I didn't take it as them mocking the show. I took it as saying don't be like the B herself (Chloe), because she *is* a real b**** in the show. While it may be funny as a comedy, her character would be a terrible person to be around in real life.
I loved the scene with the almonds. I laughed so hard at:
What @avclub-41e23e24ee2670c4128cd7e5e5ee42ab:disqus said. Also, if you combined all episodes of The Mindy Project together into one episode, it wouldn't even be half as good as any episode of Ben and Kate. That show was on fire right out of the gate, but no one was watching it! Instead, I kept watching as The Mindy…
Amen, brother. The news of The Mindy Project's renewal actually stings a bit.
The beginning of this episode reminded me of one of the comics (no spoilers) where Rick, Michonne and Carl go on a run to Rick's hometown for supplies. However as I recall, in that version of events, some… unspeakable things happened.
Michonne is my favourite character from the comics, so I was very happy that she got this episode to do something other than scowl.
"Say 'I love you, Tina.'"
"I love you, Tina."
"Say 'I love you, Tina. I'm not a toilet, I'm a boy.'"
"No."
"Oh."
Yes! I said that in a reply to an earlier comment. I can't say that I hated it, though. It was just different.
I thought the Blueberry being ripped in half was a little silly/cartoonish, but boy was it ever funny seeing that mechanic drive it away.
At this point, I get the sense that everyone knows that Shawn is not really psychic, and he knows that they know (or, to quote the theme song: ♫ I know you know that I'm not telling the truth ♫). But nobody says anything because he gets good at what he does, and (if I remember correctly from the pilot) there's some…
Well, it might have had something to do with the slo-mo they started using when Shawn has a "vision." It's different, but I don't hate it.
Dalia's terrible/wrong/out-of-sync rendition of "Send in the Clowns" was so SO funny. Here's a video if you want to watch it again.
At this point, without even seeing what the next episode is about, I predict that the next episode will get a C+ (and there's no way "Trial and Error" deserved that grade). Phil talks about the writers phoning it in, but I kinda feel like he's been doing that lately too.
I miss Chuck too.
I agree it was B level. But it really bugged me how the guy (and his baby mama) were so accepting of him being Prometheus. Their reactions were like, "Yeah. Ok. So what do we do now?" If you told me that I was a Greek god, regardless of whether or not I'm dying every day and coming back to life, my reaction would be…
Yeah, it kinda does. I'm also Canadian, so I saw that many times in my youth too. It's a fond memory, though. I loved it, and some of the other ones, because of how ridiculous it was. I mean, what kid eats beets? I also liked the one about the North American House Hippo, maybe because I think a House Hippo would be…
You're probably better off having come up short of that anniversary. It probably WOOD have ended with a lot of blood.
