It's possible that it was used in the events that we didn't see, but they never found out that DRJ was behind it. It's also possible that he used it in some events that we didn't see in season 4. There are lots of different ways to explain it. Just go with it.

Maybe Earth C is the original (i.e. Non-Amber) universe. Hmm…

I was hoping that "An Origin Story" was about September. That dude has a story and I'm 99% sure it resembles Walter's in some way. It seems like the only explanation as to why he has such a strong attachment to our characters. But given the events of this episode, it's probably alluding to the Fringe origin story

Yes! I was thinking the exact same thing last night when that Observer turned around in the interrogation room to look at the camera. He looked just like Voldemort for a second.

I had a feeling Etta was going to die when John Noble tweeted that he was saying goodbye to Georgina Haig about a week ago. However, I thought that, with the editing delay, it would be later than this. Of course that probably indicates that she'll show up in flashbacks or something later.

Maybe it was what we call a bird course (i.e. easy elective credit).

That's exactly how I read his "Mm-hmm" at the end. Like maybe he regrets killing Amy because now he understands and is ashamed of it, not that there was "some mysterious depth of emotion that he’s too reticent to want to convey."

Maybe I missed something, but if the ladder was broken, how did Maddie get up in the attic in the first place?
