It really hit a strong note with a certain crowd at that time.  I was too young to really get it but I think for people in their early 20's it was a good summation of the mood of that time.

Your Woman is a cool and catchy song but it is weird that it was ever as popular as it was.

I saw the BNL do this song at their show in a bluegrass style and it was awesome.

You think you're all bad or something.

Sea And Cake are really good but I'm not really surprised that they weren't more popular.

Whenever anyone mentions this sort of topic, Beulah is the first band I think of.  I know the members of the band sort of hated each other and that's probably what eventually ended them but The Coast is Never Clear and Yoko are both really good albums, it's like they ended they band after releasing their best stuff.

I was 12 years old when their first album came out and I occasionally still listen to it 28 years later.  I don't personally know anyone else who knows any other song they ever did other than Safety Dance.

I moved to Houston in 1993 and listened to KTRU more than any other station for the following 10 years.  If not for KTRU I would have never heard of Stereolab, Guided by Voices, Modest Mouse, and tons of other great stuff that wasn't playing anywhere else.

When I was a kid we lived overseas. Once a year we would make the long plane ride back to the States usually on Singapore Airlines. In the in-flight entertainment (audio only back then, this was the early 80's) there was inevitably an episode of The Goon Show. Because the flight was so long you would end up hearing

I'm sorry but George Noory doesn't hold a candle to Art Bell. Art Bell at his prime on Coast to Coast was one of the best radio interviewers and show hosts this country has ever had.

If I ever saw Rush Limbaugh in person I don't think I could stop myself from punching him in the mouth so hard that I break my hand.

I've always thought that Road Movie to Berlin was one of the best album ending songs of all time.

I never thought I would say this but I really miss War On Oates.

Sleigh Bells was the biggest crowd I have ever seen at The Other Tent. We didn't even know who they were, we just stuck around because of all the people. Turns out they really weren't my taste but the crowd was wildly enthusiastic.

I've waited anywhere between 2-4 hours to get in…this year 10 minutes. We were setup and ready by 11:30am on Thursday. I was speechless.

Late night sets
Everyone knows that the real party goes on after midnight at Bonnaroo. Bassnectar dropped atomic bombs at his Friday night set, I actually left the set about an hour in to go see Lil Wayne, what a terrible idea. On Saturday, Scissor Sisters brought the party and after that Gogol Bordello tore it up

@Sheltie - for a song that was mocked by many, the trolololo song is actually one of the most irresistible songs I have ever heard. It's no wonder that it was a hit in Russia. Even people who claim to hate it will listen to it all the way through every time.

The Goblin lowbie zones are hilarious plus they have a cool mount.

I knew Leeroy on Laughing Skull before he was famous.
