The original podcasts
To get a real feeling for these shows and the whole Karl thing, listen to the original Ricky Gervais podcasts that were on The Guardian website several years ago. There are 6 or 7 of them and they are really funny and entertaining.

Weird Al is still around, most of the people he has parodied are off in the used CD department dustbin.

You'll be the one it sucks to be!

Siamese Dream is one of the only albums from that era that I still listen to, the other being Bee Thousand. Not much in common, those two.

I have had the opportunity to work with several British and Australian people and even though a couple of them claimed to be cricket fans none of them could actually tell me what is going on out on the pitch. Of course, they all made a big show of knowing some of the rules and how to score but I don't think anyone

I don't know that I've encountered the strictest definition of woods porn but I have found side-of-the-road porn. It's amazing how you can be driving down the road at 50 mph at night and actually instantly know that you just passed a porno mag. My cousins and I also found a stash of porn in an old shed on their

The lyrics are pretty angsty and I can't conjure up that kind of anger anymore but this album reminds of some really good times with friends. It also reminds of the time in my life where I got laid a lot.

Agreed, one of the best things I have read anywhere for a while.

If you're too young to have been in conscious of the whole devil worship thing in the mid-to-late 80's you really can't even imagine how weird and all encompassing it was. I there were several different ministers with traveling shows who went from town to town preaching about how evil rock music was and playing songs

This is the only song I have ever heard on this particular NOW. So close…

I know MTV2 exists (existed?) and has been around for years but I have never watched it. Ever.

I remember the whole electronica push and I was really worried because I liked a lot of that music and I thought if everyone started listening to it it would ruin it for me.

This movie is a pointless, terrible, waste of time. It's the kind of movie that seems to be building up to something big but instead just drops a cliche twist in at the end. The acting is mediocre at best. I can't even believe the A- rating, definitely the biggest difference in a rating I have ever had with the site,

My wife's from Jamestown, Natalie Merchant was actually a student of my sister-in-law's. At the Old Pink in Buffalo one night one of the Maniacs was DJing while we were there.

Avatar is actually good
If you're basing your opinion of this movie on the trailers or on what you think it's about, your opinion is worthless. There's absolutely no comparison between the trailers that came out and actually seeing this movie in 3D at the theater.

I would put discovering music festivals as my biggest experience of any kind in the past decade. From a nice regional festival in my hometown to going to Bonnaroo 4 times now it's something that I really look forward to and seek out.

Just this past weekend I was thinking about how much it sucks that Elliot Smith is dead and the songs we have from him now are all we'll ever have.

Every story in Sin City has something to do with someone being mutilated or tortured. Why this is entertaining I don't know. What surprises me is that most people don't notice that Sin City is all about cruelty and torture, they never get past the visuals into what the movie really is: crap.

I liked Unsolved Mysteries but it freaked my younger sister out. When it came on one time I asked her why she hated it and why we couldn't watch it, she said "It's about mysteries, and they're unsolved!"

I also went to school with a girl name Tequila, she had a twin but I don't remember her name. Another girl in my graduating class was called Shawana Chevette and even though I went all through high school with her I didn't know that was her middle name until the graduation ceremony where they called us up by our full
