I am an unabashed rivethead, but I know how misappropriation of genres can rankle. I actually have a Pigface tattoo (shhh).

This once again reminds me of my resolve to start watching Late Late Show on a regular basis. I try to catch up on On Demand since the night copy desk usually prefers Cleveland talk sports shows and/or this rebroadcast of House on Haunted Hill that comes on every single Monday night at midnight on some local channel.

I always loved Edna's date-dress montage before her date with Woodrow … she looked really nice in the long-sleeved black one.

Complete with the semi-mummified dude tied to a bed!

I know, it's sad how things get lumped in … I mean that sad mid-90s phase of MTV quasi industrial resurgence (Stabbing Westward, Rammstein, all that mess).

So it was the Louisiana Chainsaw Se7en Massacre the whole time? With pine air fresheners too!

One of my Inventory topics in my head was bands whose first hit was a cover. The 90s were full of them, industrial having a few too (Blue Monday, Sweet Dreams). I guess we just needed to remember a simpler time.

Orgy had Blue Monday, and then they had this girl I worked at Hot Topic with on their tour bus.
How. Does it feel?

Oh no. Oh yes.

They don't make them in Big Fat Dynamo :(

He has 80s Kevin Kline pizzazz.

Now you really CAN brush your teeth with milkshakes!

With those stupid new flavored Crest toothpastes, life imitates art.

No time for that, the computer's starting!

This episode gave fuel for every brother to gross out his sister with the invisible rag-stick washing. It totally works.

Her co-star in the beaver picture!

Zamunda! Where weddings are preceded by a badass tribal dance troupe, and the princess is from Queens.

Our mutual acquaintance, Bunny, is one of these.

Technically, Yellow King should be a Simpson. LOOK CLOSER LENNY

I watched this one night in a bar in Youngstown that used to have movie nights. Also the first place I saw Videodrome and The Holy Mountain. The bar used to have a summer stoner rock festival frequented by Baroness, Mastodon, Clutch and High on Fire. I miss this bar so fucking much.
