It's a B, much better than Iron Man 2 but there's a clear quality gap between the scenes with Tony out of the suit (that Shane Black was clearly more into) and Tony in the suit, which were far less interesting. I was practically snoring by the final action set piece, but everything leading up to it was fun enough. I

Pretty sure it was made clear that there was no Ten Rings organization, it was all a front for Killian, Raza just got a little over-greedy.

I been meaning to do that, as a matter of fact, I'll hop on that now. And now having just done that, I wish Parker and Samnee were the regular Action Comics team, but I had already been wishing that for awhile.

Understandable, I was thinking more of Superman Family Adventures and their limited run of Billy Batson and the Magic of Shazam, both really great all-ages books…at least I thought so.

All of Gail's stuff since the relaunch has been lackluster, unfortunately The Movement continued that trend. I'm somewhat excited about The Green Team though, Franco and Baltazar are kinda terrific.

Writing Hawkeye and FF?

I didn't/haven't enjoyed Iron Man whatsoever under Gillen, then again I'm not the biggest Gillen fan. His dialogue is sharp, but his long-term plotting leaves alot to be desired for me.

I think the assumption is that they don't, or have always been a front for Killian.

Sure, as is Iron Man 1, Star Trek (as unbelievably "movie" as most of its logic is) Skyfall, The Avengers etc…

I dunno, I feel like there's slightly smarter popcorn fare (or at least more clever) and then there's the barely thought through stuff, of which Iron Man 2 certainly falls into in my book.

The Tony/Rhodey is ridiculous…like they wanted to have a Iron Man vs. War Machine battle first and then tried to connect the dots to get there. The lines are all clunky as shit too, "You don't deserve to wear that suit!"…uhhh, didn't Tony invent it? And if Tony IS Iron Man, how come any schmoe can just put the suit

Yet, more enjoyable and ballsy than The Avengers…funny that.

While yeah, generally you're right, Rotten Tomatoes fresh/rotten occasionally is misleading. For example, there are films that are really middle of the road fare that get positive reviews because they simply are "good but not really great", yet the score is disproportionally high.

Yeah, I recognize none of these are The Tree of Life or anything, but there's a clear difference between the quality of Iron Man 1 and Iron Man 2, if the script is idiotic…you gotta call a spade a spade. I'll be seeing it tonight to judge for myself.

It's actually 81% now, not bad, but falling for sure.

I tried to watch a little bit of Iron Man 2 last night…it's like 3 different really ineffective films, and that party scene might be the worst thing in the entire Marvel canon, Thor's earthbound stuff included.

A friend let me borrow "Ready Player One", anyone read this? I haven't started it yet.

Different strokes I guess…I think this half of the season is the best the show has been since Series 5 (which was the best the show had been since the Tom Baker Gothic Horror years). I enjoyed Series 6 fairly well when the arc stuff was being touched on, less so the filler episodes. But I was there with you last Fall

The only thing really of note was that I saw Mud on Friday night, which I loved. Right now that might be the movie of 2013 for me, but so far January to April was so deplorable it's a low bar.

I'm in the same position as you, keep in mind, I've been a DC guy my entire life with only the occasional forays into Marvel.
