And Marvel announced another big crossover that looks completely awful. The goodwill of Marvel Now is wearing away.

I'll take him over Chinballs anyday though.

But that assumes Paterson Joseph can actually act, he certainly was horrible in Jekyll.

Same here, the Amy/Rory years went on half a season too long.

The truth has been told.

@avclub-1f22330245d3876b50135dd3d3210610:disqus Yeah, I never really enjoyed Waid's JLA as much as I did his stand-alone stories with Superman…though I think DC missed a great opportunity to have a very different take on Batman if his amazingly good (maybe the best thing Marvel is putting out, certainly the most

Red Son is brilliant, you wouldn't think it was written by Millar if you didn't see any credits. That, Birthright, All-Star, and Superman and the Legion of Superheroes are my favorite modern Superman stories, it helps that the former three are all modified takes on the Superman 2000 proposal…would have loved to have

That Year One call back was also great, I imagine once Batman Inc ends, all elements of the pre-52 Batman will be gone rather than the strange hodge-podge we started with…but it's nice that Morrison's Batman is still firmly rooted between the Miller landmarks and probably the only thing that could possibly represent

Right, Fantastic Four and FF basically show off the two sides of Fraction…I know which side I prefer…

Yep, it was well done…then again, Marvel blew the fucking trumpets when Northstar got married, so I can't give them too much credit there where media subtlety is concerned.

I just want a great writer to make some big money, I mean…how nuts is it that Kindt is on the bench basically and Scott Lobdell will be writing TWO Superman titles this summer?

Yeah, last week's issue was so bad…I only keep getting it to fill out my collection…I'm hoping the proposed relaunch into the "Justice Legion" is actually true..anything to breathe some life into this book is welcome.

I feel like the past 3 or 4 issues have been really sloggish, the Starbrand stuff, and Nightmask, it's just all been so bone-dry.

That's some not good news at all…this week's issue was the worst of the entire run, and his art was a major factor there…shame…can Epting just not keep up?

Yeah, I've just generally found Avengers to be dissatisfying as a whole, though I never really read much of the Bendis era short of the first arc or two, and an attempt at trying to get into Dark Avengers just because of the gimmicky fun of it all…it didn't really float my boat either.

How Matt Kindt hasn't been given a major title by DC or Marvel yet is a point of annoyance for me. He's easily one of the most talented writers in the business, and he's already said The Legion of Superheroes is his one dream gig, how has this not happened? WTF DC strikes again.

It's bad…the movie I mean, horrible.

Yeah, Batman 1966 will probably be the first thing I ever buy regularly in digital form. He's gotta be given more stuff to do…that DC bench looks thin, but it's because they seemingly refuse to use any of the good talent they have beyond a book or two, poor old Jeff Lemire excepted.
Re: Kindt, Looking forward to

That's what Snyder/Lee is for I guess…I mean, Lee sells big time no matter who the writer is.

Oliver has already covered alot of the good Marvel stuff in his Big Issues column such as Waid's Daredevil, HawkGuy, FF, Thor…etc…what's he gonna talk about? Age of Ultron?
