"If Snotboogie always stole the money, why'd you let him play?"
"Got to. This America, man."

Gravity Falls is the first true spiritual successor to The Simpsons. I'm a little bit skeptical of how subversive a Disney owned property could possibly get, but if you like clever, character-driven comedy in a town full of wacky characters, this is the show for you.
+1 for Good Wife. Smart, and not too dark. Probably the best "case of the week" procedural since Buffy.
That's Numberwang!
"I go to a taco truck. I order three tacos. They cost three dollars. My Fiesta Name is Pendejo. I still have enough money left over for a large Dr. Pepper and Lesotho."
That's something I'd say of most of Nolan's work. His movies consistently feel great, but cold.
Sunny was (and is) an absurdly cheap show to make. Bunheads was great, but it was an hourlong that had a large cast and choreography every week. Even though they were running as tight a ship as possible, it was still a significant investment for ABC Family.
For what it's worth, I disagree. I have no problem with the way Betty is written, or how the writing room has adapted to Jones' limited talent, but I do think that they're limited by it. Whenever Jones is trying for anything but "dead eyes" I don't buy it. I just don't think she's a good actress.
Damn fine. http://www.youtube.com/watc…
"Saturday Night" is incredible as well: http://www.amazon.com/Satur…

Things that stink can be entertaining, although that's a separate issue from whether the people making the entertainment achieved their goals. See: Manos, The Hands of Fate.
The vampire chef character is one of my favorite things the show has ever done. He just wants to be a respected TV chef, damn it!
Entertainment is intrinsically subjective. If you don't like the show, it doesn't mean that it isn't effectively executing what it's going for. It's probably just not your kind of humor.
Sometimes people's political views get crazy when they get older. I refuse to believe that today's Orson Scott Card could have written those books.
Alzheimer's is a horrible disease. It's sad to see people fall apart like this.
As someone who has universally been annoyed by Dowd's reviews up until now, I thought this one was pretty reasonable. Maybe I just agree with his opinions this time around, but he managed to not mention 18 other movies he also doesn't like and he had some positive things to say despite the negative overall opinion.
I agree, but I've also never read Superman: Red Son (which everyone seems to think is fantastic).
Him? Is he funny or something?
