Need's more abrupt pacing and weird emphasis on the syllables. Maybe more like:
Maybe it's just me, but for me, the Ohmu are the most striking visual image Miyazaki has ever created. But that may just be the Chrono Trigger nostalgia talking.
I'd throw Pom Poko in there as well. No-one ever talks about it, and I was amazed at how good it was.
I feel like Muska in Castle in the Sky is a super clear-cut villain.
Well, if you want to talk about Miyazaki/Takahata double features, you've got mention that My Neighbor Totoro and Grave of the Fireflies were released together as a double bill. Talk about an insane tonal shift…
"one of the few Ghibli offerings not directed by Hayao Miyazaki"
Seems like the right place to post this really nice interview between Judy Greer and Paul F. Tompkins: http://www.youtube.com/watc…
Yeah, definitely. Lindelof's work, though sometimes a bit sloppily written, tend to have competent scaffolding. That's all the credited screenwriter needs to do, given how malleable Hollywood scripts tend to be once production starts.
"For the first time"? We've all been doubting Dowd's judgement for a while now. Jump on the train!
I didn't know it. I learned it from reading this article.
No way. Heroes was ruined the moment Bryan Fuller left the staff. If you want to blame the decline of Heroes on anything, blame it on Pushing Daisies.

"Do you understand what a conspiracy is? When you conspire with everyone you come across, you're not really conspiring with anyone. You're just doing random crap."
All the critics and bloggers will look up and shout "Watch This!"… and I'll look down and whisper "No."
@avclub-caa9e0cd2c36e0ff82185797ca633b4d:disqus You dumb bastard. It's not a schooner, it's a sailboat!
Call me crazy, but Living with the Living is my favorite album of his. He writes such tight songs (he's the master of the 5 second guitar solo) but it was really great to hear him stretch those out to longer explorations. La Costa Brava, Lost Brigade, Toro and Toreador, CIA are some of my favorite things he's done.
The Middleman is the only other ABC Family show I'd put within an order of magnitude of Bunheads. Art crawl!
