"Another!" after smashing the cup on the group still gets me.
Spike is Dead is online.
I'm finally, finally going to sink my teeth into Dishonored 2 this weekend. I went with Emily this first time 'round. I normally try to play no-kill in stealth games, but it feels like Emily isn't as forgiving as Corvo. In fact, I may not be bothered by a few accidentally stabs here and there. Still trying for a…
But how can we bring pizza into this?
"Trump supporters are racists, or they are really, really comfortable with racism"
I'm going to try sincerity for a moment. When people say stuff like this…do they realize that "winning" isn't the end-goal here? There's more to do when you're presidency than drop a few balloons and shout "We won!"? He has to lead now. For four years.
oh god why is he leaving (I mean, let me preface this by saying that I know his flaws, etc. etc. etc) but also c'mon at least the man gave the impression of a leader
It's insane that no one has tried to look into who's shorting whenever Trump tweets about a company and sends their stock plummeting. He has to know what he's doing there, at least after the first time. And somebody almost inevitably has to be profiting.
My favorite bit?
They didn't, not really. At least, I didn't feel they did.
Winston/Cece are friggin' great.
I know what I'm expecting from this movie. A pat, feel-good biopic that could have done more with its material. Even so, it's a movie about black women's lost contributions to the space program starring Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monáe. I want it to succeed on principle. I hope it inspires.
It felt overlong by about ten minutes, necessary as those final ten minutes were. I was antsy by the third fade-out. Even so, I found Denzel Washington a gripping presence. He carried Troy Maxson well. The film felt like theatre, but it worked to its favor.
I dunno. My patience for Sir Patrick Stewart being an irrational and crazy character saying naughty and crazy things begins and ends with him as Deputy Director Avery Bullock. He kills in that role.
Sinfest is an interesting case. It's become "woke" but in a way that feels like a heavy pendulum swing the opposite way to where it began. It also often feels on the fringes of sex-negative TERF-territory but it's nuanced enough to not cross over into that line of though. But its art and writing is occasionally…
Eh, fuck hecklers. Seriously. I paid good money to watch a comedian do their set, not fight with a hecklers' entitled ass.
I've been meaning to try the grapple, but I've become so adept at jump-jet traversal - picking up speed and jumps - that I feel like the grapple would slow me down. I've seen some neat tricks with it, though. I would use the cloak until I unlocked the dimension warp. It's amazing for quick escapes, even if sometimes…
