Gorgeous performance by PSH. He was doing Shakespeare while everyone else was doing a hack movie.

I'm jealous you got to see PSH act onstage. How thrilling!

Heroin is a completely different high. Cannot be compared to booze or weed.

Philip Seymour Hoffman, Sean Penn, Gary Oldman. Speaking of versatility, range, and the ability to commit 100% to a character.

Nix nix nix.

LESTER BANGS!! OH YES!!
“Hey, I've met you. You are not cool..”

This is the sound of my heart breaking. One of my favorites. Thanks AVC for providing this link. I'M CALLING IT. HOFFMAN MOVIE MARATHON BEGINS NOW!!

"I noticed it took three babies to fill the role for this episode."
Dana squeezed the first 2 to death.

OMG. Too funny.

Good advice, but too late.

It's sad to see Scully so diminished. It's just grief-fear-worry-start-again. Although I enjoyed scenes of Scully and Reyes working together on the ship, I expected "double trouble". Instead, it appeared as if Scully—the smaller woman—was placing Reyes out ahead for protection. This was maybe intentional on the part

I was watching these, thinking, what if there were no William-scare. I agree, it might have been better for Scully to high-tail it off the show with her baby and maybe return with a very weird teenager later on.

I wanted her to come back, too! She was fantastic!

Cool things about Eps. 9.1 and 9.2:

"The period after 9/11 was about people of all political stripes hoping to trust the government again; The X-Files was always about trusting no one, but especially the government." While this argument and all of its ramifications are interesting, I can't spend a lot of thinkpower on them; I never believed in The

hahahahaha!

Elwes was born and raised in London, so any American accent
is a put-on. I think he just slips up on certain words. EDIT After rewatching Ep. 9.2, I do hear him trying for something like a Mass. accent, and not doing very well. Which somehow adds an extra layer of shiftiness to his character.

Really! How cool. Ever been to Fort Totten?
Another great setting for WC—they really know how to pick 'em.

KH: "Neal, you just heard your friend’s gonna die: Don’t stare at Peter. Act!
(Like Diana does.) And to think you want to have your freedom."

Thanks, Kenny! Good to have someone reviewing the episodes who has a feel for White Collar. And it always makes the discussions fun when you chime in! We'll miss you.
