OH GOD WHY
OH GOD WHY
Spite is the best reason for doing anything. Except returning crested blazers - that's against the rules.
….huh? (On multiple levels)
If you've made it as far as Coroner, I hate to break it to you, but you're well on your way to being a metal dude.
It definitely seems like a good move to hire a guy who hates everything to write for a site that analyzes and celebrates pop culture.
You magnificent bastard.
@avclub-877b8c5ad7723364be6244962fc6cb43:disqus - that's interesting. There's a picture online of police surrounding a man in a white hoodie with guns out; he's down on his knees and they appear to be warning others away. I don't know what that picture is of exactly, but it sure looks a lot like someone being taken…
The suspect in custody is apparently a Saudi national.
That's fantastic. Those people are probably going to become isolated hermits. Way to go, entire rest of the planet.
Yeah, that sounds and looks bad. I don't want to leap to the obvious and paranoid conclusion, but that's a very populated location and time for that to be an accident. On the other hand, why there, specifically?
Well, that triggered a very sad sigh from me, Jordo. You bastard.
I meant the movie. I think a lot of fans have come around on the movie, but the reaction at the time it came out was a combination of "Huh?" and "Fuck you, Lynch!"
Anyone who goes into it with open eyes should understand exactly what they're getting. I'm comfortable that the amount of money I donated for this to exist is just about what I would have paid after the fact. I didn't get a cut of the profits when I paid for the three seasons on DVD; not really expecting it now that…
^ This guy.
Maybe they forgot Vinnie's name and thought he was Piz. There's no other good explanation for wanting to include Piz.
The actor who plays him has already said he's on board. They haven't announced it officially but it sounds like he'll only miss out if Rob Thomas for some reason fails to include him in the story.
I say this with much respect and love to Rob Thomas and Joss Whedon, but Lynch isn't the kind of nerd obsessed with his own past work that would kickstart a "Twin Peaks" reunion. "Fire Walk With Me," oddly enough, demonstrated this pretty emphatically - he had the opportunity to tie up the series neatly and wallow in…
It's not as good as 1 or 2. Some aspects are very shaky. But if you really liked the rest of the show it's worth watching, and there are good episodes. Just pretend Piz isn't a thing.
No Piz; no Duncan except a couple oblique mentions; no Paris Hilton cameo. We who paid for this want the good stuff: Logan and Veronica smoldering at each other, Wallace cracking wise, Keith being the best dad ever, and a cracking good mystery.
OK, but what will they do with the remaining $3.6 million?
