Agreed with all that. Also, especially agreed about Wayne. He's only LITERALLY a magic negro. The normal sense of that expression - the trope, in other words - is completely different from Wayne, who is creepy, rapey, and violent just beneath his calm "my hugs cure all" exterior.

This should be up my alley, but it doesn't do much for me. There are better bands playing this style.

The feature sucks. That's the point he's making.

It's not our fault the premise sucks.

Is the goal of Hatesong to make me hate the interviewer and interviewee? If so, mission accomplished! (And I don't even like Sublime… like, at all. I'd much rather listen to almost any punk rock.)

This show arrived with the hate locked and loaded, partly (well probably almost entirely) because of Lindelof. I'm not paying any attention to comments for this one - just gonna watch it and see how it goes.

The guy was arrested and handcuffed - it seems reasonable that Molly would either have been told he was Mirandized, or would assume it. Also, she wasn't interrogating him about his own crimes so much as trying to get information to use against Malvo (and by extension Leonard), which would make him a witness and/or

I'm a bit tired of this criticism of specific games/movies/whatever. It seems like a fine criticism to level at an entire entertainment industry. But if you're going to go game-by-game or movie-by-movie and just knock every one down a grade because it's got a white guy between 20 and 40 as the protagonist, you're

Sadly, it doesn't even look as good as it was supposed to. The original trailer and gameplay clips were amazingly beautiful and detailed. But look at the screenshots above - a lot of detail was stripped out and the lighting is flat and dull. GTA V actually ended up looking better, even though the graphics in Watch

You should look at that picture again, with your glasses on.

It's weird that you're using the "you are unable to embrace change" as a counter-argument for someone saying they can't embrace one particular change that already happened. It's not an invalid position to totally love early U2 and not be a fan of irony-era U2.

Oh, Kramer.

So it smells strongly of a single identified substance but something in this is still vague? I don't think so, podna. I think O'Neal is guilty of a great crime against writing: appropriating a common-ish phrase without thinking about what it actually means. I CONDEMN YOU, SIR. YOU AND ALL OTHERS LIKE YOU.

Pretty much. It's clear he was "inspired" by the chord progression and basic rhythm and sound of the Spirit song, but the actual notes and melody he's playing within those chords are materially different.

Ugh.

She's got a rounder face than book Arya, but she is by no means pudgy. And I like her performance a lot. I don't read "cheery" at all - I'm not sure she's smiled since her last "dancing" lesson ended so badly back in season 1.

That's a great theory. Very tidy.

I'm fascinated by the Iron Born - but not as protagonists of any sort. They got too many POV chapters in the books. There has to be a better way to give us glimpses into their harsh, salt-and-blood-crusted existence. Theon's reunion with his father (in season and book 2, I think) served that purpose pretty well.

There are two books yet to be written; we don't know if his part is done or not. I bet they won't kill him.

I'm with you. Daario 1 was a bit skeevy, but he worked for that part and really seemed like someone who was legitimately dangerous on the battlefield and could also capture a very young queen's heart against her better judgment. The recasting is a bummer. I know it was out of their hands that they had to recast,
