None of us has watched The Simpsons in over ten years. So odds were very good that at least one of us would randomly watch that episode.

That's true. People talk shit about Jennifer Carpenter but she's one of the few bright spots of some of the lesser seasons. She was really good in S4, and she was equally good in the first few episodes of this season. When the character has a legitimate cause to be deeply in grief (which is often), that's when…

The Avengers was the MI:4 of superhero movies. It had a name the AV Club loves attached to it, so when it turned out to be a capable and fun piece of entertainment, we went overboard praising it.

Season 4 is overrated. If you subtract Lithgow and the shock ending from it, it's got most of the same problems as seasons 3 and 5-6: bad plotting, Dexter acting like an impetuous moron whenever it's convenient, completely useless sub-plots for the non-Dexter characters, stupid plot twists that make zero sense, etc.

Most shows get lazy about this kind of stuff as the years roll on. "Dexter" just got real lazy, real fast.

Fore… shadowing? Are we watching the same show?

(Dexter approaches wrecked car) "Deb's car. She really wrecked this thing good."
(Dexter lightly touches smashed windshield) "The windshield is smashed."
(Flashback to Deb telling us about waking up upside down in a ditch) "Probably because Deb flipped the car over and woke up upside down in a ditch. That would…

I never liked this band. Rap metal in general is an abomination before the Lord. Which is weird, because I love both metal and rap, but I prefer the formal to be generally stiff and martial, and the latter to be loose and funky. The general idea of taking the Beastie Boys and making it less funky and more…

See, what you did there was take what I was implying, and make it explicit.
