The thing that always drove me nuts about the Maquis and the colonists in general is the fact that they were colonising these worlds in the first place.  Hadn't the Federation's war with the Cardassians lasted something like 50 years and been brutal, with civilian populations being killed?  If that was the case, why

As we in Massachusetts say, 'If you don't know how to get somewhere you have no business going there.'

I think the only logical way for her to stay on the show while still at least semi-connected to the action is if she maintains contact with someone.  I'm not sure who though, since she wasn't really close to anyone other then Don.  She and Joan were on pretty good terms by the end there, but I don't see them hanging

I'M a fan of Community and I'm starting to hate Community because of it's fans.  Seriously guys, it's not enough to bitch about Community alerts, you have to bitch on other show's threads that DON'T mention it?  Just be glad it was renewed….

Couldn't agree more on wanting flashbacks of Nolan and David, that's is definitely a relationship that could use some flushing out.

Well, if nothing else, this whole discussion has caused me to Google, 'Deanna Troi feminist interpretation', which is quite interesting.

I think one of the last moves of that dance number was her falling into him as he put the skirt back on.  Very smooth.

Geordi couldn't relate to anyone except through machines?  But what about Data, they were best friends and……I see your point.

Troi does seem to be the perfect storm when it comes to this sort of thing, the main problem being that the initial weaknesses in the conceptualization of the character resulted in a piling on of unfortunate female stereotypes.  I think a mental heath professional on a starship is a good idea, as is the idea of having

It's been a pleasure for all of us,@avclub-4272920f5bfc878df74212beaf95826d:disqus , a true pleasure.

@avclub-d7ccb841e1c86abdc1d1d6e6bacb6f17:disqus :  I imagine that's one of those things she talks to Glen about.

I never really thought about WOTAN calling the Doctor 'Doctor Who' as anything more then a mix-up until now, but I quite like Christopher's explanation, quite meta!  And while I doubt anyone missed Dodo it was quite the awful sendoff.  I seem to recall an old Virgin Missing Adventure novel that followed up on her;

"The role of pasty @avclub-1b1f9a3e639ecc53f335314fc9d8403b:disqus will now be played by swarthy @anyaroses:disqus."

I thought the universe ripping was because of the travel between universes, not the presence of someone from a different universe?  That's how I remember it anyway, I could be wrong.  That and I'm not sure whether Olivia using her ability to travel between universes damages things, so that might be a way to get back

Never mind, I got my Long Island geography mixed up!  Yeah, none of those driving times make sense.

TV travel times on TV never make sense, but you only really notice it when they are in your local area, at least that's how it is for me.  For some reason I thought this show was in the Hamptons, which would make more sense travel time wise.  Fringe drives me crazy for this same reason, people drive back and forth

I will admit, the return of Shamu the Revenge Whale made my TV week.

You do realise that they're just fucking with you guys at this point, right?  Community is mentioned in over half the articles on this site at this point, and about a quarter of comments are people complaining about it.
