The Sesame Street Muppets were owned by Jim Henson and his company like the rest of them until just before the Muppets were sold to Disney, as I recall. So they are all Muppets, its just all the Sesame Street Muppets except Kermit are owned by the Children's Television Workshop or whatever they call themselves now,

Avery Brooks really is such a polarizing actor in this role.  People either swear up and down that he's great or awful, with no room in between.

Still, I'm not sure "Darmok as pilot" works too well.  It makes everything seem both slow and hurried, if that makes any sense.

I really never had a problem with the celestial temple scenes, although they are a bit awkward to have so prominently in the pilot.  The Prophets and the role they play are an important part of the series, but they might have been able to delay some of this until a later episode, although you might have had to slow
