I liked the first episode, where Air's La Femme de Argent was playing for absolutely no reason other than to make me feel cool that I knew what the title of the song was.

I'm kind of annoyed at him considering London Calling a 1980 album, because I remember reading Joe Strummer saying something along the lines of "I don't know why people call it a 1980 album. It clearly came out in December 1979."

My brother prefers New Order to Joy Division. He basically thinks Joy Division were a warm-up band for them.

This might sound, I dunno, pretty mainstream gamer-y, but L.A. Noire looks pretty sweet.

I've only read I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream and seen the Star Trek episode (which is easily the best OS episode I've seen), and had no idea where to start with his other works. Good stuff.

Ender's wasn't a sociopath, that's what made him such an interesting character. He did what needed to be done, but he pretty was pretty much Jesus when it came to his' conscience. Feeling massive waves of guilt was pretty much his trademark.

Also Robuttnik I read A Scanner Darkly for the first time via poorly formatted pdf. If the book's good enough it doesn't matter if it's on a screen or whatever.

Irvine Welsh and Dan Simmons are great. Elizabeth Kostova is pretty good. So yeah.
