He doesn't ruin River's Edge, either.

I don't think I could handle the Rifftrax of this. Rifftrax for me at least, only works on blockbusters (like Twilight) or high-profile wanna be blockbuster flops (like last Airbender.) But then I think misguided travesties like this are fascinating enough, the wisecracking actually takes away from what makes The Room

Frank's birth is really funny, and who cares if it's needed from a plot point of view or not? It may even be funnier because it is such a reach to get there.

Yeah, it's a weird review and while I love Ebert this review and his dislike of Blue Velvet have always made me question him just a little.

Here's the question, how much is Susan like Cheryl on Curb? And for that matter, how much is she like Laurie David? I would guess there's a lot of overlap there.

On the contrary, Goodfellas is a huge influence on the Sopranos and Chase went out of his way to get as many Goodfellas mobsters as he could. It's entirely intentional that there's so much overlap in the cast.

I never saw those ads because I usually Tivo or watch online. I did see the ads on billboards and AvClub that made it look (to me) like some stupid action comedy. I also remember a lot of people making fun of those Terriers ads in the comments back then, before the show was actually on.

… Loanin' out a billion, I get back a trillion. I'm a be a brother, but my name ain't Lemen I'm a be your banker I'll be loading out semen…

Keep up the great work, Pope!

My constructive criticism is don't use "I found…" as a way to wrap up your articles. It reads like a junior high paper hastily written on the bus before school.

Sure, but how is Viacom supposed to rip off the next person if they reveal the settlement here?

Plus I would bet many of these comic book people you speak of would much rather be making TV and films in the first place, it's just not something they can pull off. I mean, think about it, a comic book is something one or two people can do by themselves if they have storytelling skills, some drawing talent and a lot

Usually they have contracts. So the networks don't have to re-negotiate every season.

You're completely ridiculous, expecting him to say something negative and scathing about his co-workers and employer… For what? There are times when you can be outspoken, and there are times when you have to be vague and political. Like say, when you're trying to keep a multi-million dollar successful show based on

Terriers has a few things going against it, I think. First and foremost I think the name is a turn-off. It's good once you're used to it, but even here on AV Club I remember a lot of people saying how stupid it was, and how stupid the show looked, before it started.

Robert Longo's Johnny Mneumaonmic

What's much cooler is if you go to Oscar Wilde's grave in the same cemetery you'll see tons of little hand-written notes on scraps of paper tucked everywhere. Only they're not to Oscar Wilde, they're to Morrissey, because that is evidently somwhere he regularly stops by to check his messages.

I'd say he's supposed to be Tom Cruise in Magnolia.

The Comeback
Easily one of the best and funniest shows of the last decade. I think it could use some love here.

I didn't find those Marx brothers in that picture nearly as horrific as the Pokemon Beetle trailed by guys dressed as soulless Nintendo stars.
