Su's comment about how Queens are an outmoded concept seemed awfully pointed. I feel like there's probably more to the story of how she wound up in charge of Zaofu

sure. there's absolutely no difference between being grossed out when a show says that rape's totally fine, and being a child.

so we're fine with rape now? it's just a normal part of courting someone?

apparently louis' a feminist. so i guess it's alright for him to tell a story where louie tries to rape his friend, and it turns out to be a great idea that works out perfectly for him.

yeah, croton-harmon is a good hour's drive from poughkeepsie. i'll choose to believe that his method of getting to the show is a very subtle way of establishing that todd barry is both an unreliable narrator and a complete monster.

The Flash works in Central City! Not Starling City! Having them in the same city would basically make Green Arrow redundant because he doesn't have superpowers!

SUICIDE SQUAD! WHEEEE!

kind of a minor point, but weren't the detectives eating varri-cakes?

I agree. I feel like in a way this was kind of reminiscent of Aang's struggle with killing Ozai. He eventually found a third option, but only because, on some level, he was willing to let the earth nation be destroyed to avoid taking a life.

I was actually convinced he was going to commit suicide when he picked up the gun. Nice to see him get a happy ending. Or as much of a happy ending as you can get when you've been in a dungeon for half a year, and everyone you care about is dead.

he's the one who asked why she never got pregnant. being a lesbian's a pretty good reason.

the overall point is that the show never misses a chance to show boobs, but doesn't really make an effort to do anything for the ladies.

seeing as M'gan was in the room as deathstroke, it would have been plausible for her to "notice" the charm.

"Two semi-snarky references to dolphins in the space of about ten minutes
feels like a lot. Did one of the writers have a traumatic childhood
experience watching Flipper or something?"

irene adler was only in one of conan doyle's stories, so she's more or less a blank slate. the only thing we can reliably say about her is that she can deal with sherlock on roughly equal terms.

i tried reading it, but the language was a real turn off for me. i sort of got the impression the writer was just writing in contemporary english and randomly throwing in a few "thous" to make it sound old-timey.

this can't possibly be the end. it just can't.
