Placeholder, Thoughts On and Rocky III review. Commentary on the 1989 Tony Awards will be held until Tuesday. Ideally, 12 p.m. CST. Sorry folks, I was out covering a fire.

I have a weird cycle with Joel. I think Morrow's performing him well, and yeah, he is a victim of circumstance, but the character just isn't someone I can root for.

To be honest, I lost the thread. I write only when I'm able to.

When I take photos, I basically just say to people, "Hi, I'm Frank. I've going to get some photos of you, if you please." I've given up being unobtrusive.

I've run out of time on Rocky III. I'll just do it on WOT tomorrow.

Diner
"Do you ever get the feeling that there's something going on that we don't know about?"

Kelly Rohrbach was doing a fine imitation of Scary Movie-era Anna Faris.

Mickey was handsome and Kevin Bacon took off his clothes, but I still give the hunk crown to Tim Daly.

Jane! Get me off, you crazy thing!

I thought that was on The Richard Pryor Show.

"Like sands through the hourglass, so are the cats pooping. This is Macdonald Carey and these are The Cats Pooping."

French fries with gravy seemed so delicious while I was watching.

Thoughts on the 41st Tony Awards:
— It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. The 1987 Tony Awards told a tale of two Broadways. While show business long-timers received their respect, Britain continued its musical conquest.
— Bridging those two worlds was hostess Angela Lansbury. As usual, she’s charming,

“Thanksgiving”
“But me, whose only crime is not having the tuition for medical school, I will do hard time every minute of it.”

Thoughts on Northern Exposure, episodes 45-46
“The Bad Seed”
“But still, she's a piece of bad news, Holling.”
“Jackie?”
“I've seen the good, the bad and the ugly but your little girl wrote the book.”

Placeholder, reviews of Diner and Rocky III. I’m thinking 10 a.m. CST at the latest. Spoiler alert — I'm recommending them both.

The Week in Journalism:
The big news is that starting June 1, we’re switching from an afternoon to morning paper. From now on, the deadlines will be in the afternoon, not the morning. Not only that, but we’re dropping our Sunday edition for a Saturday.

I worked in one. It was depressing as fuck.

In danger of being crushed by dwarves as well.
