I love how MMFR tells the story on the run. Even in the "down" scenes there's like no real exposition, just tension.

Mad Max mad max mad max mad max. Mad Max! Mad max mAD mAX mad max?
That's not entirely true. During Katrina, he was in New Orleans trying to help people. I didn't see any reports on that at the time, only learned it through the Spike Lee doc When the Levees Broke a few years later.
Sensitive babies need the MOST attention!
Headline on IMDb in a few years: "Ghostbusters Reboot Enters Fourth Year of Production"
I totally agree that the article was nothing but trolling.
That it was an entirely predictable film? Cliche? I mean, I guess you could say the same thing about Milk, but that was an actual historical event so obviously you know how that's going to turn out. Having recently seen The Life and Times of Harvey Milk, I really love the shade and characterizations of the GVS film.
Yup. Neither character has any flavor whatsoever and most of it is just the younger character dancing around the fact that she's gay. You know, totally understandable at the time, but it makes for a dull read nowadays. Plus, the "twist" ending is not going to be any kind of twist nowadays. It's all about the context…
Jonah Hill has the absolute craziest body weight changes. Personally, I just remain fat, all the time.
IV's reaction to Carol (which is easily the worst I've seen so far) is a lot how I felt about the novel.
Ah, yes, that makes a lot of sense. Obviously, with all the high octane mayhem a lot of the dialogue was not easy to understand.
Nah, to me I could call every beat of The Wrestler ten minutes before it happened. I even knew exactly where they would cut to credits. Besides Rourke, there was nothing worthwhile in that film.
It's a huge breath of fresh air. Think of the other two giant action films that came out this year, Furious 7 and Avengers 2. Both feel the need to pause and give you exposition, exposition, exposition. Avengers I didn't mind it, because I like the characters. It kills Furious 7 dead in its tracks every time they…
SPOILERS
Definitely could be. My other thought was just that he was cancerous and mutated. I'd like a closer view of his face. I can't wait for the thing on Blu Ray. I want to watch a lot of that last action sequence on slow-mo, just to figure out exactly how it works.
I just assumed he was a slave to Immortan Joe, and that he had been punished for some reason (not rocking enough - believe me, he learned his lesson!).
He will be the star of the first Mad Max spinoff movie, Flaming Guitar Man!
I think the guitar guy was everyone's favorite. Every time you heard a guitar lick in the distance, the audience would giggle, in a good way. I also loved the scene of him sleeping in his harness late in the movie, as well as his big scene where Max was on his rig (the bungees are obviously a Thunderdome reference).
Gah, I wanted to see that. I should have gone but wasn't sure if I would have to work or not. I saw them at the Orpheum back in like 2001. I was a little disappointed because they did barely anything new (I know they were fighting a lot at the time, so it's understandable), and I didn't really want to see old sketches…
