"the fact that they get such an airing every week in the comments here has me baffled."

Anchorman doesn't mock political correctness - it mocks outdated attitudes towards political correctness.

This movie got so much play during my high school years (like my username doesn't make that obvious), and I agree the songs in it are all permanently intertwined - The Air That I Breathe (party at the Lisbon house), Magic Man (Josh Hartnett, helLO), Come Sail Away (the prom)

Her most high profile gig was the Spiderman movies which she wasn't great in hence why maybe she's not that well regarded despite some really good performances: Interview with the Vampire, Virgin Suicides, Bring It On, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Marie Antoinette, Melancholia - She's awesome in all of these

even just the opening shot of the Edwardian London skyline with those first few bars of 'Feed the Birds' gets me a little. I love this movie, it's magical

I know Return to Oz's ending was a bit ambiguous, but I feel like it fell more on the Oz-was-real side of the camp. It would have to be, otherwise the movie is basically just a crazy little girl who keeps going AWOL during severe storms

Return to Oz is awesome. No matter how bad that chicken's jokes are it doesn't subtract from the beautiful, terrifying nightmare that is the rest of the movie

the FWWM soundtrack is crazy good. it's sad that that movie got such backlash when it was released because I've always loved it, so it's been nice to see all the love it gets here on AVC

In all likelihood it was probably a divorce that needed to happen cos it just wasn't working out, yadda yadda yadda… and yet despite my Arrested Development love, since the divorce I haven't been able to look at Arnett the same way.

I'M FIVE YEARS OLDER AND IN COLLEGE

I listen for the monologues as well. Her high pitched, incredulous "…WHAT!!" when she drops some crazy, illogical bon mot gets me every time. And when she calls someone she hates a "garbage person".

I am surprised CCP isn't on the list as Peretti was on the revered farts and procreation ep of Comedy Bang bang and she's one of the best parts of Brooklyn Nine Nine so i thought she'd end up an AV Club regular.

Copycat - their Holly Hunter impression sounds like Roger the alien from American Dad
She's All That had me crying with laughter but in light of recent events…. yeah….

I like Frasier but when I watched more than a couple of episodes at a time it felt very formulaic. I appreciated it more when I caught an episode every now and then.

@VictimlessMime:disqus as a fellow Aussie I have to say i stopped caring what American entertainment portrays us as long ago. The real issue is how we represent ourselves.

'the way this show refuses to acknowledge its issues with white privilege and class bothers me'

I can't speak for Cummings but I like watching Chelsea Lately. Her humor is far from sophisticated but she makes me laugh in the way my trashiest, meanest girlfriends make me laugh when we're drinking together. If Adam Sandler can have apologists, then I'm happy to be Chelsea's although I don't disagree with the

that movie gets a bad rep but I love it

Women can be victims in Bond movies, but they shouldn't ALWAYS be victims.

I really missed Kirke towards the end too, but the one-two punch episodes of her marriage breakdown and the further breakdown of her relationship with her father were two of the most emotionally resonant episodes they've done.
