Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid is one of my favorite movies, and comes off as a loving homage/pastiche rather than the egocentric exercise it could have been in lesser hands.

I'm actually looking forward to this anyway - sometimes I want generic cop-show comfort food that's at least got interesting actors, and I like all the actors mentioned here.
Thanks, everybody. Really appreciate the thoughts and perspectives.
Hey, so I'm gonna jump in and share. This summer my 15 year old son - great student, lots of interests, athlete, musician - tried to kill himself. We had absolutely no idea he was depressed; he showed absolutely none of the warning signs or behavioral indicators, precisely because he had intentionally been covering…
Honestly, one of my favorite live cuts ever is the Chuck Berry medley off Live Bullet - that band could cook.
"Get Out Of Denver" is both a stone cold rocker and some pretty good advice. I loves me some Seger.
I nominate the finale of Broadchurch, assuming it's eligible (I saw it this summer on BBC America, but I'm not sure if the original airing in the UK makes it ineligible).
Burger King! Have It Your Way.
Amen. They are incredibly gracious performers, and the sheer amount of time they spend just hanging out, taking pictures with anybody who wants one, and doing random magic in the lobby after the show really impressed us.
I also really enjoyed Bullshit! until the later seasons, when they really went out of their way to find topics (Hair? Old People? Really?)
Reilly can kill whomever he damn well pleases as long as he gives Almost Human another season or five.
Who's the white private dick that's a hit with all the flicks?
That cover for Cumberbatch It! may be the cutest damned thing I've seen all year.
Alton Brown is almost singlehandedly responsible for my interest in cooking and food science; the Bill Nye vibe of Good Eats drew me in one late night, and I was immediately hooked by what seemed like the coolest junior high home economics teacher I'd ever seen. The fact that the reruns are still endlessly rewatchable…
There's something to be said for the quiet - it's isolated, and slower paced, and just like the main character it'll damn well get to where it's going when it's good and ready. It oozes atmosphere, and I like that it's a contrast to the usual SHOCKING CRIME-OF-THE-WEEK network detective shows. Plus, yes, Katee…
That is a perfect comparison. Well done, you.
Sam Neill's journey from arrogant insurance investigator to straitjacketed looney who's laughing hysterically at the end of the world in In The Mouth Of Madness.
That's exactly right. This is one of the few shows our whole family watches together.
Yeah, I used to be able to spend weekday afternoons watching Incredible Hulk, Night Gallery, Twilight Zone, and Kolchak on the Sci-Fi channel.
This was one of the 5 saddest hours of my entire life, just totally devastating. And yeah, hugged the kids a little bit more this morning. Colman deserves every Emmy ever for her performance. What a series.
