If only a couple of those guys were killed my assumption is that the DEA would have put the rest on lock down. Having it done within two minutes meant no one was untouchable and security couldn't increase.

Would have worked better if this week's ep and last's were combined because it felt like this one had to get in so much emotional and dramatic cues that the comedy kind of got buried. For the most part the beats still worked for me, even the obvious ending had me feeling bad for Jake way before he arrived on the scene…

Yeah I agree with its need to zig-zag because of the nature of the beast and because the series does have a tone of its own that I certainly appreciate and admire, but if I have one major problem with Wilfred it's the disjointed feel. At times the individual chapters feel removed from a cohesive whole.

Felt like this episode was funny and resonant enough, but at one point during the episode Ryan mentions something about having a desire to hit a reset button. Kind of felt like the show did a bit of that after the brilliance of last week, barely leaving it dangling at all, mostly just forgetting about it entirely. I'm…

A fantastic episode, especially because it sort of cements how aware of everything Wilfred is and how he guides Ryan but can also maintain some degree of control over him. And it nailed a tone. Can't ask for much more, hope it maintains this energy.

Technically the multiple "Waaaaasssssuuuuuup!?!?!?!?" montages was//is/were/are the best part(s) of THAT'S MY BOY.

Ah right, almost forgot about that. I still don't think it was as hard hitting a conclusion as it could have been, but I think this episode ought to work better in the context of the season. I hope so anyhow.

Just an observation. The part of the episode in Russ & Daughters, and to an extent the entire episode, reminded me a ton of the Christina Rossetti poem "Goblin Market"

The end bothered me, but for much different reasons. I was expecting a twist, but mostly in the way that Wilfred was acting. I've never gotten the sense that the show was about making Ryan a better person as much as it was about Wilfred making Ryan the person Wilfred needs. This season the dynamics changed a bit…

I like this album, but it feels like a (very?) poor man's version of M83's latest, so there's that.

Agreed. I think it's second only to cool dad indie pop as genre definer in terms of hilarity. Or bedroom pop, I guess, but people keep telling me that's a real thing.
