Nah, I think you're pretty much right. I mean when the lineup was announced I wasn't super impressed, especially considering the past few years. Too many hit and miss or specialized filmmakers, so it's bound to be a mixed bag with high potential for just a bunch of pretty good films.

Glad to see that Godard didn't disappoint. FILM SOCIALISME is still one of the most incredible experiences I have had with a film in a while, wish I had the chance to see it on the big screen.

They did both direct films, but I'm also thinking of that hot commodity lead actor who transitions behind the camera with dubious results. I think at one point in recent memory all three had been the 'talk of the town' and seemed to be afforded a ton of exposure for what were ultimately lackluster final products. Just

Been saying for a couple of years now (had suspicions since REMEMBER ME, but were further confirmed with COSMOPOLIS) that Pattinson has the potential to be the next DiCaprio given his career trajectory. Granted, Cronenberg is no Scorsese, but I think he's proven that the comparisons are much more than superficial,

Yes, that's why I was skeptical and watched it later, but this one even surpassed the initial viewing the day of wisdom teeth removal. That was a crazy day, watched GEORGE WASHINGTON and ADAPTATION for the first time that day. It was nuts.

Hot damn, I didn't even know! Thanks for letting me know, will go purchase it right now.

One of my favorite films ever, and the reason I will watch anything DGG directs no matter how seemingly horrid.

I don't know, maybe I just don't like the "Wheels, Ontario" as much as everyone else, but I was mostly fine with the amount of Farley and this episode in general. Yeah it's far from the season's best, but that "Ballad of Bobby B." was hysterical to me. Maybe that's just my weakness for the greatness that is the first

Loved a good deal about this film even if I would have liked to see Chow in front of the camera as well (especially alongside Shu Qi, who is fantastic), but the one part that had me dying when it screened at PFF was the part that directly echoed the best bit in Chow's KING OF COMEDY. I don't want to ruin things, but

"Things move pretty fast in Philadelphia, like Jimmy Rollins stealing home. Haha."

If there are proper albums from Rashad, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, Kendrick, and a Black Hippy group album all released in 2014 I will literally eat a hat. Look how long it took for OXYMORON to release!

All I wanted was 100 million dollars and a bad bitch. Plus this paper chasin', it had turned me to a savage.

Not one mention of the glorious return of our messiah the almighty Dr. Steve Brule? For shame, AV Club.

That film is not very good, but Dr. Rick is fucking magical, glad other people recognize Walton's greatness in that role.

Probably going to see this today since I don't feel like taking the train to Philly to see LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON. Wish that we got THE WIND RISES this week. Have not seen any of Abu-Assad's films, not a ton of expectations for this one, but interested enough and feel an obligation to support any foreign language films

Spaghetti and clown makeup?

I want that Zebra onesie.

That line was probably my favorite of the episode, just delivered so well.

Going to drop some controversy here…

Damn, going to be out tonight so I'll miss this when it airs. Hopefully it will be easy to find on the internet when I get home.
