That is because Mia manages to embue her pieces with emotion in a way few other choreographers can match.  I'm always impressed by how many dancers have like good emotional breakdowns doing her pieces because of the way her choreograhpy naturally taps deep emotional wells. It's remarkable.

This is one of the many, many reasons she deserves that damn Emmy win. At least the Critics had the good sense to name her the best reality host. (Though she shouldn't have to share with Tom Bergeron, just sayin.)
